Gustavus Adolphus College sophomore Carrie Gundersen (Minnetonka, Minn.) has been named the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Swimmer of the Week. Gundersen had an outstanding meet this past Friday as Gustavus defeated St. Olaf 152-148 in St. Peter. She took home first place in the 100 free (56.26), the 500 free (5:24.02), and the 1000 free (10:55.63). Gundersen was also a member of the 400 free relay team that picked up valuable points for the team finishing first in 3:45.09 in the deciding event of the meet to seal the victory for the Gusties. She currently holds the MIAC’s top time in the 1000 free.
