Softball Player Rachael Click Named to CoSIDA Academic All-America Team

Gustavus shortstop Rachael Click, a sophomore from Rochester, Minnesota, has been named to College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-America softball team. Click is a Third Team College Division selection. The CoSIDA Academic All-America team is sponsored by ESPN The Magazine.

Gustavus shortstop Rachael Click, a sophomore from Rochester, Minnesota, has been named to College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-America softball team. Click is a Third Team College Division selection. The CoSIDA Academic All-America team is sponsored by ESPN The Magazine.

Click, who started all 42 games at shortstop for the Gusties this past season, led the MIAC in batting average (.516), slugging percentage (.906), on-base percentage (.568), hits (33), and RBI (30). She was named First Team All-Conference and Second Team All-Region by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association. She becomes the fifth Gustavus softball player to be named to the CoSIDA Academic All-America team and the first since Christina Diller in 2003.

Click, who was one of only three sophomores selected to the 33-member softball academic honor squad, is an elementary education major with a 3.85 cumulative grade point average. She is the daughter of Roger and Diane Click of Rochester, Minnesota.
