  • Men’s Tennis Posts Victories Over Wartburg, Carleton, and Luther

    The Gustavus Adolphus College men’s tennis team posted a trio of wins Saturday to improve to 21-8 overall. Gustavus defeated Wartburg and Carleton by 9-0 scores and Luther by an 8-1 margin. The win over Carleton completed an undefeated MIAC season for the Gusties.

    The Gustavus softball team defeated Carleton 12-2 and 8-1 in Northfield on Saturday afternoon to improve to 14-2 overall and 6-0 in the MIAC.   • Track and Field Competes at Lee Krough Invitational

    The Gustavus Adolphus College track and field teams hosted the seventh annual Lee Krough Invitational Saturday in St. Peter. The Gusties set two facility records, one school record, provisionally qualified three athletes for next month’s NCAA Championships and had one ticket automatically punched for the national meet in Oshkosh, Wis. No team scores were kept.

    The Gustavus women’s golf team opened its spring schedule with a dual meet win over Webber International University on Friday, April 6. The Gusties outscored WIU 340 to 382. Kimbra Kosak led the team with a score of 83.

    The Gustavus men’s golf team opened its spring season with an 11th place finish (out of 14 teams) at the Emory University Invitational played at Smoke Rise Golf Club in Stone Mountain, Georgia. The Gusties were led by freshman A.J. Olson who placed 36th with a 36-hole total of 74-81-155.
