Gustavus Adolphus College senior forward Mike Hosfield (Golden Valley, Minn./Armstrong) has been named Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Player of the Week. Hosfield scored two goals and picked up three assists for five points to help the Gusties claim a sweep against NCHA opponents UW-Eau Claire (4-3) and UW-Stevens Point (6-3) last weekend. On Friday night, Hosfield recorded two goals and one assist including a shorthanded goal midway through the third period that turned out to be the game-winner. On Saturday, Hosfield picked up assists on the third and sixth goals as Gustavus claimed its sixth consecutive victory. Hosfield leads the Gusties in scoring with six goals and 10 assists for 16 points. Gustavus is currently 8-6-1 overall and 6-0-0 in the MIAC.
