Keseley’s Goal in Overtime Gives Men’s Hockey Team 4-3 Win at Hamline

Senior Jon Keseley scored a power play goal :25 seconds into overtime to give Gustavus a 4-3 win against Hamline at Drake Arena. The Gusties snapped a three-game losing streak and improved to 3-6-1 on the season and 3-0-0 in the MIAC.

The Gustavus men's and women's swimming teams are both in second place after the first day of the Collegeswimming.com/TYR Classic being hosted by Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

Vadnais Named to d3hoops.com National Team of the Week

Gustavus women's basketball player Jess Vadnais has been named to the d3hoops.com National Team of the Week for her performances at the Colorado College Invitational last weekend where she helped the Gusties win the tournament title. Vadnais was named the Most Valuable Player of the tournament.

Women’s Basketball Downs Macalester 46-30

The Gustavus women's basketball team defeated Macalester 46-30 on Wednesday evening on Gus Young Court. The Gusties led 12-11 after the first half and outscored the Scots 34-19 in the second half to claim the 16-point victory. Gustie Bri Monahan led all scorers with 13 points.

Men’s Basketball Slips Past Macalester 77-72

The Gustavus men's basketball team opened up MIAC play with a 77-72 win over Macalester on Wednesday night in St. Peter. The Gusties trailed 28-35 at the half and trailed by as much as 11 in the second half. The Gusties rallied to take their first lead of the night at 70-69 on a Phil Sowden lay-up with 2:14 left to play. Tyler Kramer made two free throws with :06 left to secure the victory. Trevor Wittwer led all scorers with 25 points on 10-of-16 shooting from the field.

Men’s Hockey Falls to UW-Stout 4-3 in Milwaukee

The Gustavus men's hockey team dropped to 2-6-1 on the season with a 4-3 loss to UW-Stout in the consolation game of the Milwaukee School of Engineering's Holiday Tournament. The Gusties led 3-2 entering the third period, but the Blue Devils rallied to score two third period goals and hand Gustavus the 4-3 setback. Niko Suoraniemi recorded one goal and one assist to lead the Gusties.

Men’s Basketball Falls to Carthage 63-58

The Gustavus Adolphus men's basketball team fell to Carthage College 63-58 in a non-conference game Sunday afternoon in St. Peter. The Gusties had a 37-18 rebounding advantage, but committed 20 turnovers (7 in the second half) to Carthage's 12. Gustavus' Andrew Doble led all players with 21 points and 10 rebounds off the bench. Gustavus (1-2) opens MIAC play Wednesday by hosting Macalester.

Women’s Basketball Wins Colorado College Tournament, Vadnais Named MVP

The Gustavus women's basketball team defeated host Colorado College 73-61 on Saturday afternoon to claim the Colorado College Thanksgiving Tournament Championship. Jess Vadnais, who scored 26 against Colorado College on Saturday, and 22 in the first game against Marian on Friday, was named the Tournament's Most Valuable Player.

Men’s Hockey Falls to Milwaukee School of Engineering 9-6

The Gustavus men's hockey team lost to the Milwaukee School of Engineering 9-6 in the first round of the MSOE Holiday Tournament in Milwaukee. The Gusties tied the score at 5-5 early in the third period, but MSOE scored three power play goals late in the game and claimed the 9-6 victory.

Women’s Basketball Defeats Marian 74-46 at Colorado College Thanksgiving Tournament

The Gustavus women's basketball team improved to 2-0 on the season with a convincing 74-46 win over Marian College (Wis.) in the semifinals of the Colorado College Thanksgiving Tournament in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The Gusties were led by Jess Vadnais and Bri Monahan with 22 and 19 points, respectively.
