Men’s Tennis Improves to 20-3 With 6-1 Win Over #9 Redlands Posted on March 29th, 2006 by

The Gustavus men’s tennis team improved to 20-3 on the season with a 6-1 win over the University of Redlands in Redlands, California on Wednesday afternoon. The Gusties lost two of three doubles matches and trailed the Bulldogs 1-0, however Coach Steve Wilkinson’s squad rallied to win all six singles matches and claimed the important victory over Redlands, which is rated #9 in the ITA Division III poll. The Gusties, who are rated #1 the ITA poll, will face Azusa Pacific University, the #1 rated team in the most recent NAIA poll, tomorrow in Azusa, California.
