Men’s Hockey Downs Lawrence 5-2 in Showcase

Led by a pair of goals by sophomore forward Ben Ollila, the Gustavus men's hockey team picked up its fifth straight victory, downing Lawrence 5-2 on Saturday in St. Peter as part of the Gustavus Hockey Showcase. Gustavus improves to 8-2 overall, while Lawrence falls to 3-7-2. St. Olaf and UM-Crookston played to a 4-4 tie in the Showcase's other game on Saturday.

Gymnastics Team Set to Open 2006 Season

The Gustavus Adolphus College gymnastics team will open its 2006 season this Saturday with a dual meet at the University of Wisconsin at Whitewater. Coach Kris Glidden is working with a lot of fresh, new faces this year and she is excited about the enthusiasm and potential of this young group.

Women’s Basketball Uses 17-0 Second Half Run To Down Saint Mary’s 70-58

Leading Saint Mary's 34-31 at halftime, the Gustavus women's basketball team opened the second half of Wednesday's game on a 17-0 run en route to a 70-58 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference victory over the Cardinals in Winona. Jess Vadnais led all players with 23 points, including 21 in the second half. Gustavus improves its record to 6-3 overall, 4-2 in the MIAC. The Gusties will host Bethel on Saturday, January 7.

Men’s Basketball Falls to Carleton 80-72

The Gustavus men's basketball team fell to 2-2 in conference play with an 80-72 loss at Carleton on Monday night. The Gusties, who led 30-29 at halftime, were outscored 51-42 by the Knights in the second half. Junior Andrew Olson led Gustavus with 23 points.

Men’s Basketball Claims Impressive 78-42 Win at Saint Mary’s

The Gustavus men's basketball team bounced back from its disappointing loss at Carleton on Monday night with an impressive 78-42 win over Saint Mary's in Winona on Wednesday night. Senior wing Adam TeBrake led all scorers with 17 points as the Gusties improve to 8-2 overall and 3-2 in the MIAC.
