Gustavus Adolphus College senior goalkeeper Tori Boughton (Edina, Minn.) has been named to the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Women’s Soccer All-Conference team for the 2005 season. Junior midfielder Amy Larson (Bloomington, Minn.) and sophomore forward Jenna Iaizzo (White Bear Lake, Minn.) received honorable mention honors.

Boughton led the MIAC in saves averaging 8.59 saves per game, while going 7-10-0 in goal for the Gusties this season. Boughton also picked up 147 saves to bring her career total to 270. She finishes her career third on Gustavus’ all-time saves list behind Tara Joosten (308) and Linnea Carlson (293). Her 147 save total this season barely missed tying the single-season saves mark of 150, set by Heather Tideman in 1984.

Larson, an honorable mention selection in 2004, led the Gusties with 11 points on four goals and three assists, including the game-winner against UW-Stevens Point. Iaizzo came on strong offensively at the end of the season, scoring her three goals in the final three games of the year.

Gustavus finished the season 7-10-1 overall, 4-6-1 in the MIAC. The Gusties closed out the season winning four of their final five games, including the last three.
