Gustavus Adolphus freshman wide receiver Chad Arlt (St. Michael, Minn.) has been named MIAC Special Teams Player of the Week. Arlt made his first collegiate start one to remember as he blocked a punt, returned a punt for 15 yards, and made two tackles (1 solo, 1 assist) on kick return coverage to help the Gusties post a 31-12 win over Carleton on Saturday in St. Peter. Arlt also had a big day as a wide receiver with two catches for 54 yards including a 10-yard touchdown reception.

Gustavus has now had one MIAC Player of the Week for each phase of the game during the 2005 season. Junior cornerback Brian Evans (Gaylord, Minn.) was named MIAC Defensive Player of the Week on September 12 for his play against then-#21 Wheaton (Ill.) and sophomore quarterback Jordan Stolp (Mankato, Minn.) was named MIAC Offensive Player of the Week on October 10 for his play in a win over Augsburg.
