The Gustavus men’s cross country team finished 25th of 43 teams in the Maroon (Division II & III) race at the Roy Griak Invitational hosted by the University of Minnesota on Saturday. The Gusties scored 730 points, while UW-La Crosse picked up the team title with a score of 80. Hamline, with an eighth-place score of 256, was the highest placed MIAC school. Junior Alex Zupan (Monona, Wis.) led the Gusties, traversing the 8-kilometer course with a 73rd-place time of 27:12. Fellow junior Collin Meierbachtol (Northfield, Minn.) was next across the line for Gustavus, finishing 144th in a time of 28:06.
