Gustavus Adolphus College senior Kelli Groff (Bloomington, Minn. / Jefferson), the defending MIAC champion, opened her 2005-06 season by firing rounds of 78 and 77 to finish second in the UW-Eau Claire BluGold Invitational. Groff’s finish came against one of the best fields in Division III golf, as the tourney featured three teams that qualified for the 2005 NCAA Championships and eight teams ranked in the final 2004-05 NCAA/Golfstat top 25. She led the Gusties to a second-place team finish as well.
