Hokenson Named MIAC Men’s Field Athlete of the Week

Gustavus Adolphus College sophomore Jered Hokenson (Watertown, Minn.) has been named the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Men’s Field Athlete of the Week. Hokenson won the high jump by clearing a height of 6′ 8″ at the Lee Krough Invite this past weekend, which tied a 40-year old school record.

Gustavus Adolphus College sophomore Jered Hokenson (Watertown, Minn.) has been named the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Men’s Field Athlete of the Week. Hokenson won the high jump by clearing a height of 6’8″ at the fifth annual Lee Krough Invitational at Gustavus Adolphus College on Saturday, April 16.

The height provisionally qualifies Hokenson for the NCAA Championships and ties a 40-year old school record. The sophomore holds the indoor track and field record in the high jump with a height of 6′ 4.75″. Hokenson also won the 400-meter hurdles at the Lee Krough Invite with a time of 57.72.

The Gustavus men’s track and field team will return to action Saturday, April 23 at the Carleton Invitational in Northfield, Minn.
