Men’s Tennis Tops Division I UW-Green Bay 4-3 Posted on April 16th, 2005 by

The Gustavus men’s team defeated its third Division I opponent of the season by claiming a 4-3 win over the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay in Milwaukee, Wisc. The Gusties improved to 18-4 overall with the win.

Coach Steve Wilkinson’s squad won all three doubles matches to claim the doubles point which turned out to be the difference in the match. The Gusties got singles victories from Ben Lundell at #1, Adam Morgan at #2 and Andy Bryan at #4.

Gustavus will play an important Central Region match tomorrow when they face Kalamazoo College at 10:00 am in Milwaukee, Wisc.

1. Ben Lundell (GA) defeated Jarett Cascino (UWGB) 6-0, 6-2
2. Adam Morgan (GA) defeated Tyler Dorn (UWGB) 6-4, 6-1
3. Tim Prudlow (UWGB) defeated Jesse Brauer (GA) 6-3, 6-4
4. Andy Bryan (GA) defeated Mark Goldin (UWGB) 6-3, 6-3
5. Mat Weiss (UWGB) defeated Brett Morse-Karzen (GA) 6-4, 3-6, 7-5
6. Eric Hines (UWGB) defeated Pete Schwingler (GA) 6-2, 6-1

Doubles
1. Morgan/Morse-Karzen (GA) defeated Cascino/Prudlow (UWGB) 8-3
2. Lundell/Brauer (GA) defeated Goldin/Weiss (UWGB) 8-4
A. Bryan/Schwingler (GA) defeated Scott Dickert/Derek Gonwa (UWGB) 8-2
