Men’s Swimming Advances One to Saturday’s Finals

The Gustavus men’s swimming and diving team advanced the 400 freestyle relay team to Saturday’s final. The team of Will Sutor, Evan Christianson, Brian Amundson and Scott Hagemeyer are seed fourth heading into Saturday’s final.

The Gustavus men’s swimming and diving team advanced the 400 freestyle relay team to Saturday’ night’s final. Gustavus is currently in sixth place with 139 points after two days of competition at the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships in Holland, Michigan.

The team of Will Sutor, Evan Christianson, Brian Amundson and Scott Hagemeyer recorded a time of 3:05.11 to advance to the final in the 400 freestyle relay. The relay team is seeded fourth heading into Saturday night’s race.

Brian Amundson advanced to Saturday’s consolation final in the 100 freestyle. Amundson placed 15th overall in Saturday’s prelims with a time of 46.41.

Tonight’s finals will begin with the 1650 freestyle race. Gustavus’ Ben Hanson is seeded 11th in the event with a qualifying time of 16:02.75.

The NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships will conclude tonight with the finals beginning at 6:30 p.m. (ET) at Hope College in Holland, Michigan.
