Men’s Basketball Survives Late Saint Olaf Rally Winning 58-57

The Gustavus men's basketball team survived an 11-2 Saint Olaf rally in the last 4:34 to win 58-57 at Gus Young Court in St. Peter Wednesday night. Doug Espenson led Gustavus offensively with 20 points and nine rebounds, and Phil Sowden tallied 15 points.

The Gustavus women's basketball team went on a 24-6 run to end the game and wrap up a 78-62 win over St. Olaf on Wednesday night. Bri Monahan led the Gusties with 26 points and eight rebounds, while Kristin Kachelmyer added 24 points.

Gymnastics Team Defeats UW-Stout 175.75-168.50

The Gustavus gymnastics team claimed a WIAC dual meet win over UW-Stout on Monday night in St. Peter. Ashley Erickson recorded the top score of the meet for the Gusties with a total 9.25 on the vault.

The Gustavus women's basketball team posted a 90-76 win over Bethel University on Monday night. Kristin Kachelmyer posted a season-high 27 points and Bri Monahan recorded 18 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Gusties to a win.

Gustavus men's basketball coach Mark Hanson recorded his 300th career win as the Gusties beat Bethel University 65-63 on Monday night. Hanson ranks 10th among active coaches in Division III in winning percentage at .732 (300-109).

The Gustavus men's basketball team survived a 14-0 Bethel run during a 5:44 span in the second half to win 65-63 and stay atop the MIAC standings with its league-best 12th straight victory. Adam TeBrake led Gustavus offensively with 23 points.

Women’s Gymnastics Finishes Third out of Six at Gershon Invitational

The Gustavus gymnastics team scored 175.925 to finish third out of six teams at the Gershon Invitational in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Host UW-La Crosse finished first with a score of 182.150. Therese Gay scored 9.50 to finish fourth on the floor exercise.

Men’s Basketball Defeats Saint Mary’s 69-50 as Doug Espenson Scores 32 Points

The Gustavus men's basketball team extended its win streak to 11 games with a 69-50 win over Saint Mary's in Winona, Minn. Doug Espenson scored 32 points to lead the Gusties and match his career high for points in a game. Gustavus is now 15-5 overall.

Men’s Indoor Track & Field Competes at MSU Open

The Gustavus men's indoor track & field team competed in the Minnesota State University Open on Saturday, February 5 in Mankato, Minn. The competition consisted of Division I, II and III teams, however, no team scores were kept.
