Women’s Gymnastics Finishes Third out of Six at Gershon Invitational

The Gustavus gymnastics team scored 175.925 to finish third out of six teams at the Gershon Invitational in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Host UW-La Crosse finished first with a score of 182.150. Therese Gay scored 9.50 to finish fourth on the floor exercise.

The Gustavus gymnastics team scored 175.925 to finish third out of six teams at the Gershon Invitational in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Host UW-La Crosse finished first with a score of 182.150. Top finishers for the Gusties included Therese Gay finishing fourth on the floor exercise (9.50) and Brittany Moore finishing fourth on the vault (9.15).

Gustavus scored 43.50 on the vault, 42.70 on the uneven bars, 43.90 on the balance beam, and 45.775 on the floor exercise. Other leaders for the Gusties included Amanda Parker finishing fifth on the uneven bars (9.00) and Katie Balcom placing ninth on the balance beam (9.15).

The Gusties will host UW-Stout at 7:00 pm on Monday, February 7 in the Sponberg Gymnastics Studio. This meet was originally scheduled for Friday, January 21, but was cancelled due to weather conditions.
