Gustavus Adolphus College first year guard Jess Vadnais (Hudson, Wis.) has been named the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for January 10-16. Vadnais averaged 17.5 points, 4.0 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game to help Gustavus post a 2-0 record last week. Vadnais scored 18 points, grabbed four rebounds and dished off five assists as the Gusties beat St. Olaf 75-51 on Wednesday, January 12. She also shot 75.0 percent from the field (6-8) and 60.0 percent from three-point range (3-5). Vadnais scored 17 points, and recorded three rebounds, three assists and three steals in the Gusties 76-55 win at Augsburg on Saturday, January 15.

For the week, Vadnais average 17.5 points, 4.0 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game, while shooting 57.1 percent from the field (12-21) and 54.5 percent from three-point range (6-11). She is the Gusties third leading scoring with an average of 12.3 points per game. Gustavus is currently 9-3 overall and 7-2 in the MIAC.
