Men’s Basketball defeats Pomona-Pitzer 68-57
The Gustavus men's basketball team closed out 2004 in good fashion with a 68-57 win at Pomona-Pitzer in Los Angeles, California. Doug Espenson led the Gusties with 20 points. Gustavus is now 4-4 overall on the season.
Isaac Sieling Named to AP Little All-America Football Team
The post-season awards continue to roll in for Gustavus linebacker Isaac Sieling as he was recently named to the Associated Press Little All-America First Team. This is the 14th time that a Gustavus player has been named to the AP Little All-America team.
Isaac Sieling Named To American Football Coaches Association All-America Team
Gustavus senior linebacker Isaac Sieling has been named to the American Football Coaches Association All-America Team. Sieling is the second Gustie player to be named to the AFCA team following Kurt Ploeger who was honored in 1984.
Gustavus Men’s Soccer Coach Larry Zelenz Named the 2004 NSCAA/adidas Division III West Regional Coach of the Year
Gustavus Adolphus College men's soccer coach Larry Zelenz has been named the 2004 National Soccer Coaches Association of America/adidas Division III West Regional Coach of the Year.
Joe Hartwell and Bobby Kroog Named to the 2004 NSCAA/adidas Men’s Division III All-America Team
The National Soccer Coaches Association of America announced the 2004 NCAA Division III All-America team on December 9, 2004. The Gustavus Adolphus College senior defender Joe Hartwell and junior midfielder Bobby Kroog were named to the All-America team.
Men’s Hockey Falls to Marian 4-2
The Gustavus men's hockey team lost 4-2 to Marian College on Saturday night in St. Peter, Minn. Drew Keller and Keith Detlefsen were the goal scorers for Gustavus.
Women’s Hockey Defeats Bethel 6-0 for Sixth Straight Win
The Gustavus women's hockey team shut out Bethel University 6-0 on Friday night in St. Peter. Ingrid Neve and Kelly Crandall scored two goals each for the Gusties. Danielle Koopman recorded the shutout in the nets for Gustavus.
Doug Espenson Named MIAC Men’s Basketball Player of the Week
Gustavus senior Doug Espenson has been named MIAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week. Espenson averaged 18.0 points and 5.5 rebounds per game as the Gusties beat Hamline (91-60) and Concordia (80-57).
Men’s Basketball Edged by St. Thomas 62-59
The Gustavus men's basketball team fell to 2-1 in the MIAC with a heartbreaking 62-59 loss at St. Thomas on Wednesday night. Junior wing Adam TeBrake led Gustavus with 24 points.
Women’s Basketball Posts 64-48 Win Over St. Thomas
The Gustavus women's basketball team went on a 24-2 run in the final ten minutes to close out a 64-48 win over the University of St. Thomas. First year guard Jess Vadnais scored a career high 22 points to lead the Gusties to their 23rd straight win at home
