Women’s Cross Country Places Eighth at NCAA Central Region Meet

The Gustavus women’s cross country team ended its season with an eighth place finish at the NCAA Central Region Meet on Saturday in Waverly, Iowa. Senior Nichole Petersen led the Gusties with an eighth place finish (23:01).

The Gustavus women’s cross country team ended its season with an eighth place finish at the NCAA Central Region Meet on Saturday. The meet took place in Waverly, Iowa and was hosted by Wartburg College. The Gusties compiled 228 points to finish ahead of 12 other schools. Senior Nichole Petersen led the Gusties with an eighth place finish (23:01). Petersen was two spots away from qualifying individually for the national meet. First-year Lydia Davitt placed second on the team and 33rd overall with a time of 23:58. Senior Tasha Pike finished third on the team and 41st overall with a time of 24:09.
