Gustavus women’s golfer Alana Reetz (JR, Milaca, MN) was named the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Women’s Golfer of the Week for August 30-September 5. Reetz, an all-state selection in the spring of 2004, shot a two-round total of 86-77–163 to finish in fourth place individually at the UW-Eau Claire Invite September 5. Her final round score of 77 was lowest score of the final round which helped the Gusties win the opening competition of the season. The team combined for a score of 330-335–665 to finish ahead of 13 other schools at the invitational including conference rivals St. Thomas and host UW-Eau Claire.
