Men’s Tennis Defeats Pomona-Pitzer 6-1 Posted on April 6th, 2004 by

The Gustavus men’s tennis team started its spring break trip to Southern California with a 6-1 win over Pomona-Pitzer in Pomona (Los Angeles area). The Gusties are now 20-3 overall. Gustavus will now play the University of Redlands tomorrow afternoon in Redlands. Gustavus is currently rated #3 in the Division III coaches poll.

1. Loren Collins defeated David Frankel (PP) 2-6, 6-1, 6-4
2. Adam Morgan (GA) lost to J. R. Hall (PP) 2-6, 4-6
3. Ben Lundell (GA) defeated Jeff Jablonski (PP) 6-1, 6-2
4. Brett Morse-Karzen (GA) defeated Neil Patel (PP) 6-2, 6-2
5. Jesse Brauer (GA) defeated Erin Nobel (PP) 6-3, 6-4
6. Kyle Anderson (GA) defeated J.B. Wogan (PP) 6-4, 6-3

Doubles
1. Morgan/Morse-Karzen (GA) lost to Frankel/Hall (PP) 8-9
2. Collins/Lundell (GA) defeated Jablonski/Nate Pealer (PP) 8-5
3. Brauer/Anderson (GA) defeated Shilen Patel/Nobel (PP) 9-8
