Gustavus Adolphus senior Angie Peterson has been named to the D3Hoops All-America basketball team. Peterson, a pre-season All-America selection, was named to the All-America second team and the West All-Region first team this year. Last season, she was named to the second team West All-Region team by D3Hoops. This is her second All-America honor this year as she was named to the Kodak/WBCA All-America team last week.

Peterson played a major role in the success of the Gusties this season. She led the team averaging 17.2 points per game. She tallied 472 points this season breaking her own record from last season (458) for most points scored in a season. Angie also holds the school record in three-point baskets made with 176. The senior is second all-time leading scorer at Gustavus with 1,333 points and is second in steals with 200. Peterson is three-time MIAC All-Conference selection (2002, 2003, 2004) and a two-time MIAC All-Defensive team selection (2003, 2004).

Gustavus finished the year with an overall record of 21-6 and finished third in conference play at 18-4. The team finished the year second in the MIAC in scoring offense at 77.3 ppg and third in scoring defense allowing only 60.5 ppg. The team also led the league in steals with 328. The Gusties have now posted three consecutive 20-win seasons.
