Men’s Nordic Ski Team Places Third in NCAA Qualifier #4

The Gustavus Adolphus men’s nordic ski team placed third in the NCAA Qualifier #4 at Graystone Trails in St. Cloud, Minn. Erich Ziegler led the way with a fifth place finish in the classical race on Sunday.

The Gustavus Adolphus men’s nordic ski team placed third in the NCAA Qualifier #4 at Graystone Trails in St. Cloud, Minn. Erick Ziegler led the way with a fifth place finish in the classical race on Sunday.

The men were in eighth place with 39 points after Saturday’s 10k freestyle race. Erich Ziegler led the Gusties with an eighth place finish with a time of 26:29.7.
Ziegler placed fifth in the classical race on Sunday with a time of 0:54:56.2. Nate Porath finished 13th place with at time of 0:56:55.4. The Gusties scored 36 points on Sunday to push them into third place.

Complete team results were: Northern Michigan University (120), UW-Green Bay (87), Gutavus (75), Michigan Tech (56), St. Olaf (56), St. John’s (56), and Macalester (11).
