The Gustavus women’s gymnastics team opened its 2003-04 season with an impressive 176.475-170.950 win over UW-Whitewater in Whitewater on Saturday. The Gusties were led by junior Amanda Parker who won the all-around with a total of 36.70.
Gustavus scored 45.275 on the vault, 42.775 on the uneven bars, 44.950 on the balance and 43.475 on the floor exercise. Individually, Alyssa Cox won the vault with a score of 9.275 and the bars with a score of 9.050, while Amanda Parker won the balance beam with a score of 9.575 and the floor exercise with a score of 9.525.
