NCAA Men’s Soccer Match Between Gustavus and Wartburg Postponed Due to Inclement Weather Posted on November 12th, 2003 by

The first round NCAA Division III Men’s Soccer match between Gustavus Adolphus College and Wartburg College has been postponed due to poor weather conditions. The match has been re-scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 13 at 11:00 am. The winner will head immediately to Redlands, California for a match against the University of Redlands on Saturday, Nov. 15.

Conditions at game time in St. Peter, Minn., included a temperature of 37 degrees, with freezing rain, sustained winds of 32 miles per hour and a wind chill of 24 degrees. The field was snow covered due to a heavy and wet snowfall earlier in the day.

NCAA on-site representative Kurt Anderson, along with the participating athletic directors and coaches and the game officials discussed the field and weather conditions with NCAA Assistant Director of Championships Mark Bockelman before deciding to postpone the match.
