The Gustavus women’s cross country team placed third out of 26 teams at the Roy Griak Invitational hosted by the University of Minnesota on Saturday.
The Gusties finished with 116 points at the 5K race behind Luther (80) and MIAC rival Carleton (97). Gustavus finished one spot in front of conference foe St. Olaf (142) and two places ahead of Macalester (146).
Gustavus was led by Nichole Petersen who finished seventh overall in the field of 338 runners with a time of 19:12. UW-Platteville’s Jackie Mulrooney won the meet by clocking in with a time of 18:36.
