The Gustavus men’s and women’s golf teams hopped the pond on Thursday, July 28th, arriving in the capital of Icleand, Reykjavík in the early morning hours.  The group then traveled to London, their first destination on a weeklong training trip that will span across some of the most iconic golf destinations in England and Scotland.

While in the United Kingdom, the golf teams will play at the London Golf Club on the International Course in London, the Jubilee Course, a part of the St. Andrews Links, in St. Andrews, and the Gleneagles Golf Club in Auchterarder.

In London, the group will see such sights as the Tower of London, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, and the Windsor Castle.  The Gusties will continue to Scotland where they will tour major sights in Edinburgh and St. Andrews, one of which will include a trip to The Royal and Ancient Golf Club and the British Golf Museum.

After the squad shoots its final round of the trip at Gleneagles on August 4th, the group will depart Reykjavik for a late night touchdown on U.S. soil in Minneapolis the next day.
