Tara Houlihan and Lyndsey Palen defeated teammates Lauren Hom and Kara Smiley 6-0, 6-3, to win the NCAA Division III Doubles Championship on Monday afternoon in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Houlihan and Palen are the first from the Gustavus women’s tennis program to claim an NCAA individual national title.

The Gustavus women’s tennis program assured itself of its first NCAA National Doubles title when Tara Houlihan and Lyndsey Palen and Lauren Hom and Kara Smiley each won their semifinal matches today in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
