Women’s Golf Second at Winona State Invite
The Gustavus Adolphus women's golf team saw a nine-stroke 36-hole advantage evaporate Sunday as host Winona State posted a 307 to Gustavus' 326 over the final 18 holes of the Best Western Riverport Classic in Winona. The Gusties finished with a 54-hole total of 977, 10 shots behind the Warriors. St. Thomas was third at 995, followed by Saint Mary's at 1071. Gustavus will participate in the MIAC Championships Oct. 7-9 at Bunker Hills G.C. in Coon Rapids.
Women’s Golf Leads After 36 Holes at Winona State Invitational
The Gustavus women's golf team holds a nine-stroke lead after day one of the Best Western Riverport Inn Collegiate Classic hosted by Winona State University. 36 holes were played Saturday with Gustavus posting rounds of 328 and 323 for a 651 total, leading host Winona State (327-333--660) and St. Thomas (337-331--668). The tournament will conclude with 18 holes on Sunday morning at Cedar Valley G.C. in Winona.
