The Gustavus volleyball team defeated St. Mary’s University in four games on Wednesday (21-30, 33-31, 30-28, 30-17). With the win, the Gusties improve to 19-6 overall and 8-3 in the MIAC and enter the MIAC playoffs for the first time since 2000.

The Carleton Triangular, which the Gustavus volleyball team was scheduled to participate in on Saturday, October 23, has been canceled and will not be rescheduled. The Gusties were set to take on Macalester and Carleton at the tournament.

The Gustavus volleyball team defeated Hamline University on Wednesday night in four games (27-30, 30-20, 30-16, 30-24). The Gusties are now 18-6 overall and 7-3 in MIAC play.

The Gustavus volleyball team posted a five-game victory over #14 Concordia, the first place team in the MIAC (26-30, 22-30, 30-16, 32-30, 18-16). Junior outside hitter Tara Houlihan led the team with 43 digs, a new Gustavus record, and added 20 kills.

The Gustavus volleyball team gained a win over non-conference opponent Luther College in four games (30-23, 22-30, 30-15, 30-25). Junior middle hitter Anne Osthus led the way for the Gusties with 14 kills and three of the team’s 14 service aces.

The Gustavus volleyball team swept Augsburg College in three games Wednesday night (30-27, 30-18, 30-16). Tara Houlihan contributed a double-double with 11 kills, 16 digs and six service aces to lead the Gusties to an important conference win.

The Gustavus volleyball team lost a tough, five-game match to the College of St. Benedict, the #21 ranked team in the country (24-30, 21-30, 30-28, 30-26, 10-15). The Gusties are now 14-6 overall and 4-3 in the MIAC.

The Gustavus volleyball team gained a five-game upset over nationally-ranked Carleton College Wednesday night in St. Peter (27-30, 30-18, 30-25, 27-30, 15-13). The Gusties had five players with ten or more kills and six players with ten or more digs.

The Gustavus volleyball team lost to MIAC opponent Macalester College Friday night, dropping to 3-2 in the conference and 13-5 overall.

The Gustavus volleyball team got back on the winning track by beating the College of St. Catherine on Wednesday night in St. Peter (30-15, 30-23, 30-22).
