Men’s Tennis to Participate in NCAA Championships
The Gustavus Adolphus College men's tennis team will participate in the NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Championships Tuesday-Sunday, May 15-20 at the Dwight Davis Tennis Center in St. Louis, Mo. Washington University in St. Louis is the host institution. Gustavus will face Williams (Mass.) in a quarterfinal match at 1 p.m., Tuesday, May 15. Individual competition in singles and doubles will follow team competition May 18-20.
Baseball Edged by Minnesota State, Mankato 8-7
The Gustavus Adolphus College baseball team fell to 7-4 on the season following an 8-7 loss to Minnesota State University Tuesday afternoon in Mankato. Mike DesLauriers led the Gusties with a 3-for-5 effort at the plate, but MSU's Zach Danelson provided the game's big hit--a solo home run in the sixth inning--to give the Mavericks their final lead. Gustavus will open MIAC play Saturday at St. Thomas.
