The Gustavus men's hockey team completed the weekend sweep of Finlandia University with a 4-1 victory on Saturday afternoon in Hancock, Mich. The Gusties used a three goal first period to propel them past the Lions. Gustavus improves to 9-3-1 overall, while Finlandia falls to 1-9.

The Gusties scored two goals in the first period and three goals in the second on their way to a 6-2 win over Concordia University (Wis.) on Tuesday night. The Gustavus men's hockey team improved to 3-1-0 on the season with an exciting 2-0 win over UW-River Falls on Saturday night at Don Roberts Ice Rink in St. Peter. Third period goals by Ross Ring-Jarvi and Gustav Bengtson and some clutch goaltending by Tyler Venne allowed the Gusties to slip past the Falcons.
Men’s Hockey Moves To 2-0 With 2-1 Win Over Saint Mary’s
Ryan Johnson's power play goal at 2:10 of the third period allowed the Gustavus men's hockey team to slip past Saint Mary's University 2-1 in the second game of the MIAC Showcase played at Fogerty Arena in Blaine, Minn. Johnson, a freshman forward from Blaine, gave the Gusties a 1-0 lead with a power play goal in the first period before scoring the gamewinner in the third period. Tyler Venne picked up the win in the nets for Gustavus.
