Men’s Hockey Claims MIAC Title With 6-0 Win Over Saint Mary’s

The Gustavus men's hockey team posted a convincing 6-0 win over Saint Mary's in Winona on Saturday evening and claimed the program's first regular season league title since 1993. Coach Brett Petersen and his squad finished with a conference mark of 12-2-2 (26 points).

Women’s Hockey Moves Into First Place With 1-0 Win Over Saint Mary’s

Strong goaltending by Danielle Justice and a first period goal by Tam Meuwissen allowed the Gustavus women's hockey team to slip past Saint Mary's 1-0 on Saturday afternoon at Don Roberts Ice Rink. The Gusties win and a tie between St. Thomas and St. Kate's allowed Gustavus to move into sole possession of first place with a record of 12-3-1.

Women’s Hockey Holds On For 4-3 Win Over UW-Stevens Point

The Gustavus women's hockey team built a 4-1 lead and then held off a late UW-Stevens Point rally to claim a 4-3 win at Don Roberts Ice Rink in St. Peter on Tuesday night. Junior defender Sara Yungner led Gustavus with two goals, while first year forward Tam Meuwissen tallied the game-winner at the 6:35 mark of the third period. Emily Klatt claimed the win in goal for the Gusties who improved to 13-4-2 on the season.

Three Goal Third Period Allows Women’s Hockey To Defeat Concordia 4-0

The Gustavus women's hockey team completed an important weekend sweep over Concordia College with a 4-0 win in Moorhead on Saturday afternoon. The Gusties got goals from Alyssa Saunders, Kelsey Kennedy, Tam Meuwissen, and Allie Schwab, while goaltender Danielle Justice recorded the win in the net. Meuwissen (16:14) and Schwab's (17:07) goals, which gave the Gusties some breathing room, came less than a minute apart midway through the third period. Gustavus improves to 12-4-2 overall and 8-3-1 in MIAC play.

The Gusties pressured the Cardinals for 60 minutes, but could manage to score once against Cardinal goaltender Kaye Collier. 

Meuwissen’s Early Goal Allows Women’s Hockey To Slip Past Saint Mary’s 1-0

The Gustavus women's hockey team got an early goal from Tam Meuwissen and held on for a 1-0 non-conference win over Saint Mary's at Don Robert's Ice Rink in St. Peter on Saturday afternoon. Danielle Justice and Emily Klatt combined to post the shutout in goal for Gustavus.

Women’s Hockey Defeats UW-Stevens Point 2-0

The Gustavus women's hockey team got back on the winning track with a solid 2-0 win over UW-Stevens P0int in Stevens Point on Saturday afternoon. TheGusties got second period goals Tam Meuwissen and Mollie Carroll and that is all they would need to claim the important victory.
