Women’s Swimming and Diving Third at Carthage
Sophomore Sara Pfau recorded top ten finishes in four individual events to help lead the Gustavus women's swimming and diving team to a third place finish at the 2005 TYR/CollegeSwimming.com Classic hosted by Carthage College on December 2-3. The Gusties scored 734 points, finishing behind team champion St. Cloud State (1141 points) and runner-up St. Olaf (798 points) and just ahead of host Carthage (705 points). The Gusties are idle until a January 14 dual at Carleton.
Men’s Swimming and Diving Captures Carthage Crown
Scott Hagemeyer eclipsed a pair of national "B" standards and Ben Hanson and Matt Stewart each recorded four top ten individual finishes as the Gustavus men's swimming and diving team claimed the team title at the 2005 TYR/CollegeSwimming.com Classic hosted by Carthage College on December 2-3. The Gusties edged host Carthage, 977.5-977, to win the meet. MIAC rival St. Olaf finished third with 958.5 points.
