Gustavus had four players in double figure scoring, as Jesse Van Sickle scored 14 points, Sam Paulson scored 13, and Tyler Grey scored 12. Ryan McPartland registered a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.

The Gustavus men's basketball team opened the MIAC season with a 55-46 victory over Carleton College on Wednesday night in Northfield, Minn. Sam Paulson registered a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds in the game. The Gusties went 13-15 from the free throw line and won the turnover battle 17-10 in the game.
