Men’s Hockey Clinches Share of MIAC Title With 5-1 Win Over Saint Mary’s
The Gustavus men's hockey team had set a goal to win the MIAC Regular Season Title at the start of the season and the team reached part of that goal on Friday when it defeated Saint Mary's 5-1 and Hamline tied Concordia 2-2. The Gusties are now assured of at least a share of this year's crown. A win or a tie on Saturday night will give the Gusties the title outright, the first for the program since 1993.

The Gustavus women's hockey team continued its pursuit of a sixth straight MIAC Regular Season Title with a 3-2 win over Saint Mary's in Winona on Friday night. The Gusties jumped out to a 3-0 lead and then held off a late Cardinal charge and claimed the important victory. Melissa Mackley, Lindsey Hjelm, and Mollie Carroll scored for Gustavus, while Danielle Justice picked up the win in goal.

The Gustavus women's basketball team remained in first place in the MIAC with a convincing 68-49 win over Saint Mary's on Wednesday night in St. Peter, Minn. The Gusties jumped out to a quick 12-5 lead and never looked back on their way to the 19-point victory. Gustie senior captain Bri Radtke led all scorers with 15 points.

The Gustavus men's basketball team suffered a 78-75 setback to Saint Mary's on the road in Winona, Minn. on Wednesday night. Saint Mary’s Will Wright scored a game-high 18 points on 5-8 shooting, while teammate Michael Burfeind scored 17, shooting 8-10 from the field. Gustavus’s Ryan McPartland led team with 14 points (6-15) and eight rebounds.

Baseball Opens MIAC Schedule With Sweep Over Saint Mary’s
The Gustavus baseball team kicked off its MIAC schedule with a pair of wins against Saint Mary's by the scores of 6-0 and 6-5 in eight innings in Winona on Thursday. Cody Sukalski pitched a complete game shutout in the first game, while Derek Eddie earned the win in the second game after pitching 4.2 innings in relief. Tory Herman and Chad Eul combined to go 8-for-15 from the plate with five RBI. The Gusties improved to 9-9 overall and 2-0 in the conference.

The No. 8 Gustavus men's tennis team had a busy day after playing four matches at the Swanson Tennis Center on Saturday in St. Peter. The Gusties defeated UW-Whitewater, University of Sioux Falls, Saint John's and Saint Mary's by identical 9-0 scores to improve to 16-4 overall and remain perfect in conference play at 6-0. Gustavus returns to action on Monday, March 23 against Pomona-Pitzer in Claremont, Calif. as the Gusties will play four matches in California in four days.
Men’s Basketball Sinks Key Free Throws To Defeat Saint Mary’s 66-59
As the Gustavus men's basketball team clung to a three-point lead with less than a minute to play, the Gusties went 6-for-6 from the free throw line to hang on for a 66-59 win over Saint Mary's on Wednesday at Gus Young Court. Gustavus shot 53.5 percent from the field on 23-for-43 shooting and held the Cardinals to 31.7 percent (20-for-63), including 2-for-19 from three-point range.
Women’s Basketball Pulls Away In Second Half, Claims 65-48 Win Over Saint Mary’s
The Gustavus women's basketball team out-scored Saint Mary's 18-2 to start the second half and never looked back on its way to a convincing 65-48 win over the Cardinals in Winona on Wednesday night. The Gusties shot 56.0 percent from the field (14-25) and 50.0 percent from three-point range (4-8) in the second half. Three Gustavus players scored in double figures including Emily Nelson with 13, Julia Schultz with 12, and Brianna Radtke with 11. The Gusties are now 11-6 overall and 9-5 in the MIAC.
