The Gustavus softball team earned a MIAC sweep of Saint Benedict by the scores of 8-0 in game one and 5-2 in game two on Saturday in St. Peter to earn its 20th win of the season. Emily Wendorff had her best day at the plate as a Gustie, as she went 3-for-5 and drove in six runs. Callie Nelsen earned the victory in game one, allowing just one hit, while Betsie Collins picked up the win in game two.
Women’s Tennis Remains Perfect In MIAC With Wins Over St. Catherine and Saint Benedict
The Gustavus women's tennis team remained perfect in MIAC play with a pair of 9-0 wins over the College of St. Catherine on Saturday in St. Paul and the College of Saint Benedict on Sunday in St. Joseph. The Gusties also picked up a non-conference 6-3 win over Wartburg College in St. Peter on Saturday. Gustavus, which improved to 16-8 overall and 6-0 in conference play, will face three MIAC opponents this week, including league-unbeaten St. Thomas.

Special teams played a vital role in the Gustavus women's hockey team 6-0 against Saint Benedict on Wednesday afternoon at Don Roberts Ice Rink. The Golden Gusties scored three power play goals and one short-handed goal to remain undefeated in conference play at 14-0-0 and improve to 19-2-0 overall. The Blazers fell to 4-12-2 overall and 4-8-2 in the MIAC.

The Gustavus women's basketball team saw its seven-game winning streak come to an end on Monday night in a 69-51 decision against Saint Benedict in St. Joesph. The Gusties trailed 29-28 at halftime, but could not contain the Blazers during a 19-3 run midway through the second half as three Saint Benedict players registered double-digits in the period. Strong second half shooting helped the Gustavus women's basketball team pick up a big MIAC win over Saint Benedict 70-62 on Wednesday night at Gus Young Court in St. Peter. Three Golden Gusties scored in double-digits in the most balanced scoring attack of the season as Gustavus shot a season-high 52% from the field. The Gusties improved their record to 3-1 overall and 3-1 in conference, while the Blazers dropped to 3-3 overall and 2-2 in the MIAC.

The Gustavus Adolphus women's hockey team defeated College of Saint Benedict 6-0 Saturday afternoon to lock up its fifth outright MIAC title in seven years and sixth title overall. Jenny Pusch scored a goal and two assists to lead the Gusties, now 21-2 overall and 15-1 in the MIAC. Gustavus will close out its regular season next weekend (Thursday-Friday) with a pair of games against College of St. Catherine.

The Gustavus Adolphus women's hockey team staked their claim to at least a share of the league title Friday night with an emphatic 10-0 victory Saint Benedict in St. Cloud. Eight Gusties scored goals, including two apiece from Mari Gunderson and Christine Wicker. Gustavus, which locked up the top seed in the upcoming MIAC Playoffs will host the Blazers at 2 p.m. Saturday to conclude the series.
