May’s Double-Overtime Goal Gives Men’s Hockey 4-3 Win Over Auggies In First Round Of MIAC Playoffs

The Gustavus men's hockey team defeated Augsburg 4-3 in double-overtime in the first round of the MIAC Playoffs on Friday night in St. Peter. Zach May scored the game-winning goal just over a minute into the second overtime after picking off a pass in the slot of the Augsburg zone. The Gusties move on to play #1 seed Hamline on Saturday, Feb. 26 in the semifinal round of the MIAC Playoffs at 2:00 p.m. at the Lee and Rose Warner Coliseum in St. Paul.

Mitch Carlson’s Overtime Goal Gives Men’s Hockey 5-4 Victory Over Saint Mary’s

Senior Mitch Carlson scored the game-winning goal in overtime to give the Gustavus men's hockey team a 5-4 overtime victory over Saint Mary's on Saturday night in St. Peter. The Gusties were able to battle back from deficits of 3-0 and 4-1 in the contest. Gustavus finishes the regular season 14-9-2 overall and 8-6-2 in the MIAC.

Men’s Hockey Bounces Back With 3-1 Win At Concordia

The Gustavus men's hockey team was able to get a split with Concordia after defeating the Cobbers 3-1 on Saturday afternoon in Moorhead, Minn. Ross Ring-Jarvi tallied the game-winning goal and an assist in the game to lead the Gusties. Gustavus improves to 6-4-2 in the MIAC and 12-7-2 overall.

Men’s Hockey Moves To 2-0 With 2-1 Win Over Saint Mary’s

Ryan Johnson's power play goal at 2:10 of the third period allowed the Gustavus men's hockey team to slip past Saint Mary's University 2-1 in the second game of the MIAC Showcase played at Fogerty Arena in Blaine, Minn. Johnson, a freshman forward from Blaine, gave the Gusties a 1-0 lead with a power play goal in the first period before scoring the gamewinner in the third period. Tyler Venne picked up the win in the nets for Gustavus.
