Men’s Hockey Looks To Move Deeper In Post-Season In 2008-09
The 2008-09 Gustavus men's hockey team looks to use the experience gained from last season's fourth place league finish and strong off-ice leadership to qualify for its ninth consecutive MIAC Post-Season Tournament and advance deeper in post-season play. Coach Petersen will count on junior captains Cody Mosbeck (Jr, Emo, Ontario), David Martinson (Jr., St. Louis Park, Minn.), and Joe Welch (Jr., Hastings, Minn.) to lead the young team.
Volleyball Team Optimistic About 2008 Season
The Gustavus Adolphus College volleyball team looks to move back into the top of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference standings after missing the league playoffs in 2007 with an 18-8 overall and 6-5 conference record. Head Coach Kari Eckheart will look to two-time MIAC Co-Defensive Player of the Year Emily Klein and four-year veteran Bridget Burtzel, to lead the way for eight other letterwinners and six incoming first-year players.
Women’s Basketball Prepares For High-Scoring Bethel On Wednesday Night
The Golden Gustie women's basketball team hopes to continue its winning ways on Wednesday night against the Bethel Royals on Wednesday night at Gus Young Court. Gustavus is currently in a three-way tie with Carleton and Concordia for third in the MIAC at 9-4. Wednesday's game will be broadcast through the Gustavus website beginning at 7:20 p.m.

The Gustavus gymnastics team opens its 2007 season on Monday, January 8 with a dual meet against UW-Stout in St. Peter.
