Women’s Track & Field Competes At MSU-Mankato Open
The Gustavus women's track and field team competed in the MSU-Mankato Open on Friday and Saturday in the Meyers Field Field House in Mankato, Minn. Kaelene Lundstrum was the top Gustavus performer in the meet. Lundstrum won the heptathlon with 3468 points, setting a new Gustavus record.
Men’s Track & Field Competes At MSU-Mankato Open
The Gustavus men's track and field team competed in the two-day MSU-Mankato Open on Friday and Saturday in Meyer's Field House on the campus of MSU-Mankato. Gustavus tallied three to five finishes as no teams scores were recorded at the meet.
deLaubenfels Finishes Second at MSU-Mankato Open
Cross country runner Chris deLaubenfels (Mount Vernon, Iowa) turned in his best finish of the season finishing second in 20:28 at the MSU-Mankato Open in Mankato Saturday. No team scores were kept as Gustavus, MSU-Mankato, and St. Cloud State were the only schools competing in the 6K race. John Leaf was the second Gustie to cross the finish in 12th-place with a time of 21:14. Five Gustavus runners competed in the race.
Women’s Cross Country Runner Laura Edlund wins MSU-Mankato Open
Senior Laura Edlund (Forest Lake, Minn.) continues to run well as she won her first race of the season at the MSU-Mankato Open in Mankato Saturday in 15:25. No team scores were kept as Gustavus, MSU-Mankato, and St. Cloud State were the only schools competing in the 4K race. The Gusties had four runners place in the top seven. Sarah Bernhardson (Eden Prairie, Minn.) turned in her best race of the season finishing third with a time of 15:44, and being the second Gustie to cross the finish line.
