Trevor Wittwer, Bri Monahan Named Academic All-District V by CoSIDA
Gustavus Adolphus men's basketball player Trevor Wittwer and women's basketball player Bri Monahan were among four MIAC student-athletes named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District V Team as recently selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Wittwer was named to the second team, while Monahan was a third team selection.
Bri Monahan Named Finalist for Division III Kodak/WBCA All-America Basketball Team
Gustavus Adolphus women's basketball player Bri Monahan has been named by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) as one of 40 finalists for the NCAA Division III Kodak/WBCA All-America Basketball Team. The 40 finalists, who are voted upon by WBCA member coaches in each of the eight WBCA geographical regions, are now in the running for selection to the 10-member Kodak/WBCA All-America Team.
Monahan Named MIAC Co-Women’s Basketball Player of the Week
Gustavus Adolphus junior post player Bri Monahan (Hutchinson, Minn.) has been named MIAC co-women's basketball player of the week for the week ending Jan. 22, 2006. Monahan averaged 28.5 points and 9.5 rebounds in road wins over Saint Benedict and Hamline last week. She shares this week's honor with Concordia's Melanie Hageman. Monahan is the second Gustie to be honored this month, following sophomore guard Jess Vadnais (Jan. 10).
