Strong performances in the pole vault and shot put helped the Gustavus women's track and field team move from fourth place after the first day to a second place finish at the MIAC Indoor Championships which were held at Saint John's University. Senior Shanna Dawson won the pole vault to highlight an impressive second day for the Gusties.
Men’s Track and Field Places Seventh at MIAC Indoor Championships
The Gustavus men's track and field team finished seventh at the MIAC Indoor Championships with a total of 43 points. The 4x200 meter and 4x400 meter relay teams, which included Matt Leeb, Tyler Geyen, Colby Citrowski, and Cole Carlson, recorded the highest finishes on the day for the Gusties. The 4x200 relay placed third in a time of 1:31.13, while the 4x400 relay placed fifth in a time of 3:25.19.
