Men’s Cross Country Finishes Fifth at MIAC Championships; deLaubenfels Finishes Fourth
On a beautiful fall afternoon, the Gustavus men's cross country team ran its best race of the season finishing fifth with 134 points at the MIAC Cross Country Championships Saturday in St. Paul. The fifth place finish at the conference meet was the highest since 1994 when the squad finished fourth. St. John's claimed its second consecutive title with 49 points. Women’s Cross Country Finishes Sixth at MIAC Championships; Edlund and Bernhardson Earn All-Conference Honors
In perfect weather conditions the Gustavus women's cross country team finished sixth out of 12 teams with 133 points at the MIAC Cross Country Championships Saturday in St. Paul. St. Thomas finished in first place with 74 points, two points ahead of second-place Carleton. Laura Edlund (Sr., Forest Lake, Minn.) improved on her 29th-place finish last year by placing sixth in a time of 22:57 to earn all-conference honors.
Men’s Cross Country Will Race in MIAC Championships Saturday
The Gustavus men's cross country team will take part in the MIAC Championships on Saturday at 3 pm at Como Park Golf Course in St. Paul, Minn. The Gusties will be looking to improve on their eighth place finish from a year ago. The 2007 Gustavus men's cross country team looks to improve on its eighth place finish at the conference championships in 2006. Senior Chris deLaubenfels earned all-conference honors a year ago with a 14th place finish.

The Gustavus women's cross country team will take part in the MIAC Championships this Saturday at 2:00 pm at Como Park Golf Course in St. Paul, Minn. The Gustavus women's cross-country team looks to jump into the top three at the MIAC Championships after posting fourth place finishes for the past two years. Senior Laura Edlund has emerged as this year's top runner replacing two-time MIAC champion and NCAA Central Region Runner of the Year Hailey Harren.
