Sharbono And Thomas Earn MIAC Men’s Basketball Postseason Accolades
The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its men’s basketball postseason awards Tuesday and two Gustavus student-athletes received recognition. Riley Sharbono (Jr., Marshall, Minn.) was named to the Third Team while Kelsey Thomas (Sr., Wiesbaden, Germany) earned All-Conference Honorable Mention.

The Gustavus men’s tennis team wrapped up the ITA Division III National Team Indoor Championships on a high note, defeating 11th-ranked University of Redlands 5-1 for the consolation championship. The victory improves the Gusties to 6-4 overall as they return to conference action next weekend.

Colton Schmidt (So., Eden Prairie, Minn.) scored 2:38 into the overtime period, leading the No. 4 seed Gustavus men’s hockey team to a 4-3 victory over the No. 1 seed University of St. Thomas Saturday evening to advance to the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Playoff Championship game.

Men’s Track & Field Takes Sixth At MIAC Indoor Championships
The Gustavus men’s track & field team wrapped up competition at the 2018 MIAC Indoor Championships Saturday at Macalester College, turning in 61 team points for a sixth place finish of 11 teams.
