Men’s Track & Field Competes At Meet Of The UnSaintly

The Gustavus men’s track and field team had 24 individuals record a top-10 finish at the Meet of the UnSaintly hosted by Hamline in St. Paul on Friday and Saturday. No team scores were kept, as it was the final regular season meet before the Gusties compete at the 2011 MIAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Friday and Saturday, May 13-14 in St. Peter, Minn.

Women’s Track & Field Takes Part In Meet Of The UnSaintly

The Gustavus women’s track and field team had a strong showing at the Meet of the UnSaintly hosted by Hamline University in St. Paul on May 6-7. No team scores were kept at the meet, as 24 individual Gustavus athletes recorded at least one finish in the top-10. It was the squad’s final regular season meet before competing at the 2011 MIAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Friday and Saturday, May 13-14.

Max Hanson Breaks School Record In 800 At Meet Of The UnSaintly

The Gustavus men’s outdoor track and field team took part in the Meet of the UnSaintly hosted by Hamline on Saturday afternoon in St. Paul. Max Hanson and Cole Carlson registered individual event wins at the meet. Hanson won the 800-meter run with a time of 1:50.31, breaking the Gustavus school record and automatically qualifying for the NCAA Championships. Carlson won the 400-meter dash (49.09), and took sixth in the 200-meter dash (22.53).

Helland And Broderius Register Wins At The Meet Of The UnSaintly

The Gustavus women’s outdoor track and field team competed in its final meet of the regular season at the Meet of the UnSaintly hosted by Hamline on Saturday afternoon in St. Paul. Top Gustavus finishers at the meet included Janey Helland and Sam Broderius. Helland, winner the MIAC Heptathlon on Friday in Northfield, Minn., took first place in the long jump (5.36m), while Broderius won the shot put (12.71m) and took second in the discus (43.25m).

The Gustavus men's track and field team turned in eight top five finishes at the Meet of the UnSaintly hosted by Hamline University on Saturday. Tyler Geyen (Sr., Watertown, Minn.) set a new school record in the 100-meter hurdles with a NCAA provisional time of 14.49 for first place. The strongest event showing was in the javelin throw where four Gusties placed in the top five led by Chad Arlt (Sr., St. Michael, Minn.), who won with the distance of 53.87 meters. No team scores were kept at the meet.

Women’s Track and Field Competes At Meet of the UnSaintly

The Gustavus women's track and field team turned in strong results at Meet of the UnSaintly hosted by Hamline University on Saturday. Lisa Brown (Sr., Lake Crystal, Minn.) recorded two NCAA provisional marks after winning the javelin (44.06 meters) and finishing third in the shot put (12.9 meters). Sam Broderius (So., Hector, Minn.) took first place in the shot put and sixth place in the discus with NCAA provisional distances of 13.51 meters and 44.53 meters, respectively.
