Athletic Department Hosts Special Olympics Aquatics And Basketball Competitions In February

The Gustavus Adolphus Athletic Department concluded the Special Olympics winter season by hosting back-to-back area competitions on consecutive weekends in February. On Sunday, Feb. 7, Gustavus hosted the Area 9 aquatics competition at the Vic Gustafson Pool and on Sunday, Feb. 14, it held the Area 9 basketball tournament in the Lund Center Forum.

Kari Eckheart Resigns As Volleyball Coach To Accept Assistant Athletics Director Position at the College

Kari Eckheart has announced her resignation as the head volleyball coach at Gustavus in order to accept the full-time responsibilities as the Assistant Athletics Director for Student Athlete Services at the College. For the past 13 years, Eckheart has directed the Gustie volleyball program as well as served as the health promotion coordinator for Gustavus staff members and the alcohol and drug education coordinator for Gustavus student athletes.
