Women’s Golf Continues Outstanding Play, Wins UW-Eau Claire Invitational
The Gustavus women's golf team completed the most dominating spring regular season in the program's history by winning the UW-Eau Claire Invitational by 20 strokes over host UW-Eau Claire on Sunday afternoon at Wild Ridge Golf Course in Eau Claire, Wis. Katie Schenfeld claimed medalist honors for the third time this Spring and Gustavus golfers Schenfeld (first), Kali Griggs (tie second), and Taylor Drenttel (tie second) claimed the top three spots individually.
Women’s Golf In First Place After First Day of UW-Eau Claire Invitational
The Gustavus women's golf team turned in a very strong round in difficult conditions and leads the UW-Eau Claire Invitational by 18 strokes over host UW-Eau Claire. The Gusties, who fired a team score of 312, posted five of the top six individual scores of the day. Kali Griggs and Kate Schenfeld are tied for first with first round scores of 77.
Women’s Golf Wins MIAC Title In Convincing Fashion, While Men Finish Strong To Tie For Second
The Gustavus women's golf team pulled away from the field and won its second consecutive MIAC Championship by a convincing 46 strokes, while the men shot a final round 300 to tie for second with St. Thomas. The women's team was led by Katie Schenfeld, who claimed medalist honors with a 54-hole total of 80-78-78--236, while A.J. Olson and Alex Kolquist tied for third at 223 to lead the men.

Gustavus student athlete Kali Griggs has been named MIAC Women's Golfer of the Week for her efforts in helping the Gusties win the 20-team UW-Eau Claire Invitational last weekend. Griggs, a junior from Burnsville, Minn., finished fourth individually with a 36-hole total of 80-79--159.

Gustavus Adolphus College sophomore Kali Griggs (Burnsville, Minn./Visitation) has been named the MIAC Women's Golf Athlete of the Week by the league coaches. Griggs finished first with a 36-hole total of 76-73--149 at the Minnesota Women's Collegiate Golf Association Invitational (MWCGA) at Pebble Creek Golf Club in Becker, Minnesota. Gustavus, ranked third in the nation, topped second place St. Thomas by 41 strokes and scored an 18-hole total of 297 on Sunday which set a new school record.

Senior Rachel Roberg tied for first individually with a 36-hole total of 78-79--157.
Eric Harris, Kali Griggs Named Golfers of the Week by the MIAC Golf Coaches
Gustavus men's golfer Eric Harris and women's golfer Kali Griggs have been named MIAC Golfers of the Week by the conference golf coaches. Harris, a senior from Eden Prairie, Minn., finished first out of 90 golfers at the Augsburg Invitational, while Griggs, a sophomore from Burnsville, Minn. (Visitation HS), finished first out of 93 competitors at the Wartburg Invitational.
Women’s Golf Finishes Second at MWCGA State Tournament – Roberg, Griggs Earn Awards
The Gustavus women's golf team finished second at the Minnesota Collegiate Women's Golf Association (MWCGA) State Tournament, which was played at Pebble Creek Golf Club in Becker, Minnesota on April 21-22. The Gusties fired a 36-hole total of 328-317—645 and finished six shots behind first place St. Thomas. Breanne Staples finished second individually to lead Gustavus. Rachel Roberg was named Player of the Year and Kali Griggs was named Freshman of the Year by a vote of the MWCGA coaches.
