Softball Drops Two To Complete Play At Rochester Regional Bubble
The Gustavus softball team ended its weekend at the Rochester Regional Bubble with a pair of losses Sunday. The Gusties lost 8-3 to Nebraska Wesleyan and 3-2 to Carroll, moving their overall record to 1-3.
Softball Splits On Opening Day
The Gustavus softball team split two games to start its season Saturday at the Rochester Regional Bubble, losing to Coe College 10-1 in five innings and rebounding with a 4-3 win over UW-La Crosse.
Softball Begins 50th Season This Weekend At Rochester Regional Bubble
The Gustavus softball team is set to begin the 2018 season – its 50th at the College – this weekend at the Rochester Regional Bubble. The Gusties will take on Coe at 1 p.m. Saturday followed by UW-La Crosse at 5 p.m. and then on Sunday face Nebraska Wesleyan at 11 a.m. and Carroll at 1 p.m.
Softball Celebrates 50th Season This Year
The Gustavus softball team has reached a special milestone this year as the program celebrates its 50th season at the College. Gustavus softball started in 1969 under the direction of Hall of Fame coach Gretchen Koehler and has evolved into a perpetual contender in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

The Gustavus softball program and Head Coach Britt Stewart are hosting the Gustavus Softball Winter Camp Feb. 17.
Gustie Softball To Host Summer Clinics
The Gustavus softball program is excited to be hosting multiple clinics this summer for the age groups of 10, 12, 14-under along with 16 and 18-under. Head Coach Britt Stewart and Assistant Coach Kyhl Thomson will host the clinics on June 27-28 and August 22-23 at Gustie Softball Field.
Heacox And Willis Earn MIAC All-Conference Softball Honors
The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its 2017 Softball postseason awards Monday afternoon. Representing Gustavus on the 2017 MIAC All-Conference Softball Team are pitcher/outfielder Hannah Heacox (Sr., Stillwater, Minn.), and pitcher/infielder Jena Willis (Sr., Kalispell, Mt.). Additionally, catcher Emily Carlson (Fy., Burnsville, Minn.) was recognized as an All-Conference Honorable Mention.
Hannah Heacox Named To NFCA All-Region Third Team
The National Fastpitch Coaches Association released 360 players chosen for the 2017 NFCA Division III All-Region softball teams on Monday, with Gustavus softball pitcher/outfielder Hannah Heacox (Sr., Stillwater, Minn.) earning a spot on the Midwest Region Third Team.
Hensch, Heacox Named April Student-Athletes-Of-The-Month
Men's field specialist Michael Hensch (So., North Branch, Minn.) and softball pitcher/outfielder Hannah Heacox (Sr., Stillwater, Minn.) have been selected as the Gustavus Adolphus College April Male and Female Student-Athletes-of-the-Month, presented by Thrivent Financial and voted on by the Gustavus Sports Information Department.
Softball Sweeps Carleton On Senior Day
The Gustavus softball team closed out the regular season with an exciting sweep over Carleton College Saturday afternoon at Gustie Softball Field, shutting out the Knights 3-0 in game one before an 11-inning 8-7 thrilling win in game two.
