Turnovers Prove Costly, Football Downed 27-17 At Concordia

Turnovers proved to be the difference in a 27-17 loss for the Gustavus football team at No. 16 Concordia-Moorhead on Saturday. The Gusties led 14-10 at halftime, but the Cobbers were able to turn an interception and a fumble recovery into 14 points, while holding the visitors to a field goal in the final 30 minutes to secure the victory. Gustavus drops to 3-2 overall and 2-1 in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, while Concordia remains unbeaten at 4-0 overall and 2-0 in the league.  

Gustie Football Heads North To Battle Concordia

The Gustavus football team heads north to face Concordia College for a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference matchup at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30. The Gusties (3-1, 2-0 MIAC) come off their largest offensive output since 2015 to face the Cobbers (3-0, 1-0 MIAC), who opened conference play two weekends ago with a 31-7 victory over Bethel University.
