Holtan Named MIAC Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week

Kate Holtan (Sr., Rochester) helped Gustavus defeat Carleton and nationally-ranked Bethel in straight sets this past weekend. Holtan started the weekend conference series against the Knights with 17 kills, five service aces, and a hitting efficiency of .625. She continued her momentum at Bethel with 19 kills, a hitting efficiency of .405, and a passing rating of 2.4.

Men’s Golf Has Record-Setting Final Round, Finishes Second at MIAC Championships

Jacob Pedersen (Sr., Minnetonka) made history in the final round of the MIAC Men’s Golf Championship on Monday at Bunker Hills Golf Club. Pedersen fired a seven-under par (65), setting the Gustavus and MIAC record for lowest 18-hole score and lowest final round by an individual champion.

Men’s Tennis Falls Just Short at ITA Midwest Regional

The Gustavus men’s tennis team hosted the ITA Midwest Region Championships over the weekend and had a number of notable performances, but came up just short of qualifying for the ITA Cup.

Turnovers Plague Football in 34-9 Loss at No. 16 Bethel

The Gustavus football team Saturday committed five turnovers and was limited to one touchdown in a 34-9 loss at 16th-ranked Bethel. Suffering their first loss of the season, the Gusties drop to 3-1 overall and 1-1 in the MIAC, while the Royals improve to 3-1 overall and 1-1 in the league.

Cross Country Sweeps at Hamline

SAINT PAUL, Minn. - The Gustavus men’s and women’s cross country teams both took first place in the Hamline Invitational on Friday afternoon. The men finished with a team score of 25, while the women posted a score of 32.

Men’s Soccer Wins Convincingly over Central 5-0

The Gustavus men's soccer team had an explosive 5-0 shutout win over the Central College Dutch in 70 minutes of play. With the win, the Gusties move to 8-3 overall and 3-1 overall.

Men’s Tennis Hosts ITA Midwest Region Championships This Weekend

Gustavus Adolphus College is set to host the 2021 ITA Midwest Regional Championships in Saint Peter, Minn. this weekend. The tournament runs from Friday, Oct. 1 through Monday, Oct. 4 and will feature 25 of the top teams in the region at multiple sites throughout Saint Peter, Mankato, Le Sueur, and Le Center.
